Homemade cat food – your cat will love it
Posted on April 7th, 2011 by Michele AndersonLike human foodies, cats are finicky eaters. Cats love their food, and what they would love even more is us feeding them gourmet meals made at home with natural products. The levels of wariness among kitty parents has increased, especially after the increasing instances of cat food recalls in the past few years.
Most of us cat lovers know from personal experience and that of friends that our cats are four-legged, picky gourmets. One of the cat owners I know fed her cat only dry food from the time it was a kitten. Today, her cat turns up her nose at anything that even remotely resembles dry food. She was at her wit’s end, not knowing what to feed her cat, when someone suggested some home recipes. Now she is happy, and so is her cat!
Homemade food is a good choice because it can be nutritious, tasty and nonfattening. Most American cats are overweight, according to cat-health monitoring groups. Homemade food would ensure that you feed your cat something that is more nutritious than it is fattening!
Fish and chicken are a cat’s favorite foods. So having a tidbit of one of these ingredients in your recipes would be a good idea if you want to impress your cat. After all, a satisfied kitty is a happy kitty!
